Twenty-first Hall also plays prominently in Volume II of the epic story. You'll visit the Chamber of Leadership and the Chamber of Mazarbul many times while doing the epic quest line.
Quests for Zelem-melek come from Twenty-first Hall and from The Orc-watch just inside Redhorn Lodes. This arrangement will feel a bit disjointed as the quests completed from Twenty-first Hall increment the Moria Upper Levels quest deeds and the ones from The Orc-watch count for the Moria Central Halls quest deeds. Further, there are a couple of quests that really need a small fellowship to complete. Feel free to skip all quests for Zelem-melek except the epic story.

Virtue Deeds for Zelem-melek
Packed with orcs and goblins, Zelem-melek can be a good place to work on your Goblin Slayer and Orc Slayer deeds. Quest deeds for Zelem-melek sort to either Moria Upper Levels or Moria Central Halls in your deed log. While we recommend everyone finish enough quests to complete the quest deeds for these two areas, Zelem-melek is not going to be a big contributor to either. Keep in mind that these are only a few of the virtues you can work on in this zone - specifically the ones you'll find useful for surviving Moria and are relatively easy to get. You may want to return later to earn more. See Choosing Your Virtues for more information.
The Epic Story in Zelem-melek
Volume II, Book 3: The Lord of Moria (54-56) will have you visit Brogur in Chamber of Leadership and do several quests into Zelem-melek. You'll return for Book 5: Drums in the Deep (58-59) where several quests and group instances are centered around Twenty-first Hall.Let the solo chapters of the epic story guide your regular questing around the zone, then watch GLFF for opportunities to complete the group chapters.
Crafting in Zelem-Melek
Zelem-melek offers gathering for Tier "6a" (the lower end of Tier 6) crafting materials - khazad-copper and khazad-tin ore, magnificent hides, ilex wood and sage lockers. Unfortunately you'll have to fight through legions of orcs and goblins to get to them, unless you are higher level.Twenty-first Hall is the crafting hub of Moria, offering all of the superior crafting stations, except fields for farmers. The bank and auction house are nearby.
Located just south of Twenty-first Hall is Mezer-serej, home of the the Lumber Crafting Instances. Anyone can run the daily quests for reputation and barter rewards, most notably Lothlorien Gold Leaves and IXP Runes. Foresters can gather components from the nodes inside the instance twice a week - the "locks" on reset on Monday and Thursday.
