Leveling Plan for 61-65

To level past 60, you must purchase the Siege of Mirkwood expansion which raises the level cap to 65, gives you access to the Siege of Mirkwood region and content, and Volume II, Book 9 of the epic story. The are some special requirements to enter Mirkwood - see the Mirkwood Leveling Guide for more info.

With the level cap removed, any content that gives XP will help you level. The new content for these levels is listed below. Note that the Mirkwood skirmishes are unlocked by completing specific chapters of the Epic Story.

Introduced with Volume III, Book 2, you'll already be level 65 by arrive in Enedwaith, especially if you've completed Volume III, Book 1. Enedwaith offers some interesting quests and deeds, plus two new reputation factions to work on.

New Options for Character Improvement

Symbol of Celebrimbor

Symbols of Celebrimbor, the rare component in crafting level 65 Second Age legendary items, are now easier to come by - you can now barter for them at skirmish camps! The cost in Beta (subject to change for launch) was 1,005 Skirmish Marks and 5 Superior Third Marks.

So where do you get Superior Third Marks? In Beta, these were dropping only from the challenge quest in level 65 classic instances, and 6-man+ level 65 skirmishes on tiers 2/3. See Marks by Level for more info.

Radiance Armour

With the newly scaled Annuminas and Helegrod instances come new options for acquiring radiance armor. With so many choices, you'll want to evaluate which is best for your class and preferred role. In summary, your options for 51-60 are:

Level 65 Dol Guldur 3-piece set (75 radiance total)
Level 65 Helegrod 6-piece set (150 radiance total)
Level 65 Annuminas 6-piece set (150 radiance total)
Level 65 Barad Guldur 6-piece set (180 radiance total)

Legendary Items	[65] At level 65, it's time to get serious about legendary items you'll use for a while. It's easier now to get a Symbol of Celebrimbor, so set your sights high.
Radiance Armor	[65] Additional radiance armor sets are available from Annuminas, Helegrod, Dol Guldur and Barad Guldur.

The new skirmishes for levels 61-65 are unlocked while working on the epic story. The skirmishes unlocked in Volume II, Book 9 are:
