The first zone added to the game after launch, Evendim offers its best leveling content from levels 32 to 39. Despite the wide level range, there are only a handful of quests in Oatbarton. On the other hand, the solo content from Tinnudir and Ost Forod is quite good. You'll want to include these nodes in your level 32 to 40 leveling plan, along with North Downs (east of Esteldin), Books 3 and 4 of Volume 1, Rivendell, and Trollshaws.
Level 50 players may want to explore Annuminas, the ruins of Aragorn's ancestral kingdom and home to several outdoor deeds as well as great Classic join instances.
A cautionary note for Free and Premium players considering purchasing Evendim -- boat travel in Evendim is considered "Swift-travel", and therefore VIP or temporary unlock only. At least two level 37+ quest lines send you back and forth across the lake repeatedly, giving you ample time to consider why Evendim was known as "Everswim" before they put in boat travel.

Virtue Deeds for Evendim
Evendim is not a strong zone for earning virtues for leveling. That said, it's worthwhile to complete Pilgrim of Evendim (20 quests) in Evendim for a rank of Innocence - a great survivability trait for everyone. You probably won't slot it until 50 or so when you've earned additional ranks, but this is an easy rank to earn while leveling.Killing 180 goblins in Evendim earns you one rank of Justice - another great survivability trait for everyone. Unfortunately, there aren't enough quests to get nearly that many, so if it starts to feel grindy, skip it for now. You can always come back later and have your revenge on those pesky goblins when they are grey to you.
Finally melee classes will want to do all the quests for killing tomb-robbers, then kill a few more. This is a pretty easy rank of Discipline. Around level 40, tanks and would-be raiders should pick up the very easy rank of Fidelity earned by exploring the Tombs of Evendim.

The Epic Story in Evendim
The Evendim zone was added to the game when the level cap was 50, so the books of the epic story that travel through Evendim and Annuminas are all level 50 as well. While Volume 1, Books 9 and 12 are not recommended for leveling, the epic story is one of the most compelling components of LOTRO and not to be missed if you haven't done it before, especially now that it can be soloed.Crafting and Evendim
