After 10 levels of the "long dark" of Moria, most players are as relieved to make it out into the sunshine of Lothlorien as The Company were. Unfortunately, you are not known to the Galadhrim elves and they are very protective of their borders, having fended off the orcs coming from Moria as well. Your first job here will be to gain their trust.
You can start the quests from Mekhem-bizru at 57 or 58 if you work in a small fellowship. Besides gaining XP, you need to attain Acquaintance standing to safely enter the protected area of Lothlorien, or be killed on sight by Galadhrim scouts. We suggest you complete Volume II, Books 6 and 7 before you start the repeatable reputation quests at Echad Andestel. These books of the epic story pay a ton of Galadhrim reputation and will hasten your entry to the Golden Wood.
Once you can enter the main area of Lothlorien, you'll have access to many more quests. Most are repeatable daily and pay IXP, reputation and Galadhrim barter items - Lothlorien Silver Branches and Lothlorien Gold Leaves. These can be traded for gear, recipes, housing items, a mount and many other items at various locations around Lothlorien. Keep earning Galadhrim reputation until you reach Friend standing and can enter Caras Galadhon, the city in Lothlorien. There are many easy quests in Caras Galadhon (more xp!) and an exploration deed that rewards a rank of Valour.
At this point you can continue questing in Lothlorien (some barter items require Ally or Kindred standing) or move on to Mirkwood.
